Who is this Aimed at:

The course is for those wishing to coach more challenging Rhythmic Gymnastics skills. To enrol on the course, you must: 

1. Already hold, or have attended as a minimum, the Level 3 Coaching Theory qualification. 
2. Hold a Level 2 Rhythmic Gymnastics qualification (or equivalent) or one of the prerequisite awards as outlined in the pre-requisites tab. 
3. Be 18 years of age. 

Delivery Method:

Please note, below is subject to change until after pilot testing.  

This is a blended course with the following components: 

• 2 days face-to-face practical (2 x 8-hour days) 
• 1 tutor-led virtual session (4 hours) 
• Online self-paced learning accessed via British Gymnastics Academy 
• Practical assessment 

Do I Need To Bring Participants:

Yes, you are required to provide gymnasts for both the course and the assessment. You will need to bring gymnasts that are either working towards the syllabus skills or can already perform them. 

Do I Need To Find A Mentor:

You do not need a Mentor to complete this course and assessment. However, we support seeking guidance from more qualified and experienced coaches in your discipline to aid your development through the course, assessment and after. 

What Resources Are Included:

You will be provided with a variety of online resources. 

Outcomes:

This course aims to provide learners with the knowledge, understanding, and skills required to safely and effectively develop skills on the Rhythmic Gymnastics Development Coach Syllabus. 

How Will I Be Assessed:

Please note, below is subject to change until after pilot testing.

The assessment for this course will include: 

• Completion of a planning task (details TBC) 
• Face-to-face practical assessment lasting approximately 90-minutes. 

How Long Before I Get Qualified:

From Day 1 to your practical assessment day will be approximately three months. Once you have successfully completed the practical assessment you will be qualified to take the syllabus skills to competition. Only on completion of the L3 Coaching Theory will you hold the complete Development Coach accreditation and be eligible to progress to Performance Coach.
