The Women’s Artistic Compulsory Elite Grades are being revised by BG National Staff in conjunction with the WTC. The majority of the work has now been completed including the skill content and routine construction at each level and is now available to download here.
**Please note this is a provisional document and subject to change
A Compulsory Elite Grades handbook will be published later in the year and will include both judging and apparatus guidelines. In the meantime this provisional document gives an overview to allow early familiarisation with and preparation for next year’s Compulsory Grades.
One of the biggest changes is the inclusion of a Compulsory Level 1, which will be the step between Compulsory Level 2 and Espoir British Championships. There will be no age restrictions to participation in the Compulsory Elite Grades in the regional competitions meaning they can also be taken ‘out of age’. The only exception to this will be Compulsory Level 4, which will remain for gymnasts who are aged 9 in year of competition. Please note, for the National Finals the regional teams will still only include gymnasts who are ‘in age’:
Compulsory Level 4 – aged 9 in the year of competition
Compulsory Level 3 – age 10 in the year of competition
Compulsory Level 2 and 1 will be ‘open age’ but gymnasts must have passed the previous grade to be able to progress to the next one.
There will be a further communication when the completed 2014-2017 Compulsory Elite Grades Handbook is available.
