It's absolutely wonderful to see complete openness about what's involved in every detail of every step of the coach training structure! I hope this marks the start of a new beginning for BG :)

It's great to be able to find ALL the relevant information online rather than to have to try and find out in a way that was totally dependent on you knowing what question to ask, but still often risked turning into hoping someone you didn't know existed will reply to you if you try to barge in on their secret society's game of chinese whispers.

Now about the actual content of what they have ... oh well. Can't have everything I suppose! I miss that element of the good old days, but I suppose society will never let us go back to them and I'm waaaay to young to be sounding like a grumpy old man :(

There's lots of information at http://www.british-gymnastics.org/site/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=156&Itemid=265&archive=0 and http://www.british-gymnastics.org/site/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=80&Itemid=265&archive=0 that was very difficult to find out before. :)

It does however also let you see how many extra trees will have to die before you can get an L1 qualification, and how much more bureaucratic the system has become :(

You can compare what an adult who wishes to coach simple parts of the proficiency award scheme requires in the way of training with what a 14-18 year old who wishes to do the same needs.
