Has anybody been on one of these on holiday? It's like being in a rig but instead of ropes that the coach pulls it's bungee elastic so you can bounce higher! I've just got back off holiday and I went on one nearly every day (it cost my mum £5 for 5 minutes, but I did pay for a couple of goes myself out of my holiday money too).

On the first day I managed to do double backs which I've never even tried before on a normal trampoline, but on the day before we left I managed to get my name on the "Records Board" 'cos I managed triple backs :D and was dead pleased with myself!!!!! Got a bit dizzy after doing a few though!

I want to try proper double backs when I get back to training this week now!

Has anybody else been on a bungee tramp and what did you manage to do on it if you have?

They had then on the roof of the shopping centre in Edinburgh last year for the whole of the holidays. Everyone else in the club had been on them, but even though I passed them on the way back from work each day for months, somehow or another I never managed to get round to going on them because I was always on my own and... They do look like great fun though. :D

Only downside - yes, the prices!! I think the ones in Edinburgh were even more expensive. I remember working out that by the time you're actually on it, they cost more per minute than a flight in a 737 to Tallinn. I was thinking that the 737 was probably more expensive to buy and more complicated to set up and run than the bungee trampolines! :)

I know, I said to my mum that the bungee trampoline works out £1 for a minute - when I'm training it costs £1 for an hour! But I've never done a triple back somi at training though (and I don't think I ever will!!!) You should have a go Gingerheid, it's brilliant fun, and you can try your somis out without landing on your head :D

I've been on one of those- for FREE! Haha! :p

They had them at the Hampshire Youth Games in the exhibition field thingy with all the stands and stuff and they were free for about 5-10 mins worth, and of course u could go on more than once. :D

I couldn't do front somis to save my life coz i found it was really different to doing normal ones but back somis were great! :)

And the harness really hurt the inside of my thighs coz i had jeans on.

Oh, and i felt kinda stupid coz i couldn't help pointing my toes! :o

FREE???!!!!!!!!! Hate you!!!! (Only joking!)

I found the same with front somis too, I did manage to do some double fronts but sometimes I couldn't even get over into one front somi 'cos it's really difficult in that bungee harness thing and really different to doing it on a normal tramp bed, but backs were great! I made myself dizzy doing so many

And yes it does hurt inside your thighs, I had shorts on and the inside of my thighs were all red when I came off ... but it didn't stop me going back on though, I just put longer shorts on :D

She did them all in ONE bounce!!!!! I don't know how she did it, it was a struggle trying to fit 3 into one bounce for me, never mind 7!!! (And I was dizzy after 3!!) If she was at Cox's Yard in Stratford (where I went on) she would have got the new "world record" there 'cos their all time record was 6 ...

Hehe I went on the Bungee Tramps loads - or Sultos as they called them - while I was in Turkey!!! Worked out at £2 for 10 minutes!!! Hehehe!!! So much fun - also very good for stomach muscles when you do nothing but back somis for 10 minutes - a lot with no flinging from the guys below because they're standing there amazed that I didn't stop going!!! It was like doing sit-ups the whole time!!! Did doubles with no flinging aswell, but needed the help for 3!!! The next time i went they took off one elastic hoop so i could go a bit higher and hopefully do a quad - there idea not mine - but this proved a little ... erm ... unsafe, as one hoop snapped and hit me on the shoulder and sent me swinging from side to side!!! A little fun and a little scary!!! But i carried on - obviously with the extra hoops back on!!!
Luv Kel!!!

I went on one in Brighton, I think it was £5 for 10 minutes too, so I only went once, but it was fun :) It took a bit of getting used to because the beds were sooo soft and slooooow, but after that it was good. I think I managed double straight back and double pike front, but with the straights it was hard to create momentum because of the way the belt was, it made arching difficult, and the bounce from the trampoline itself was pretty lame, it just depended how tight the instructor made the elastics as to high how you went.

I went on one in Spain last year and didnt really like it, you can bounce incredibly high, which is the point but felt it really squeezed me tightly when I went up and down, it made me feel sick. I was in an adult harness so it went quite far up my back and i really tried hard to somersault but couldn't manage.... felt quite embarassed. Although it was only about £2.25 so not really a waste of money.... I would pay £5 for five minutes.
