Bad luck to Kirsten, she didn't qualify for the final did she.

But what annoyed me most ... they didn't even show her on the BBC  !!! The trampolining was great to watch, but it would have been nice to see Kirsten's routine wouldn't it!

No excuse for the BBC not to show the only British performer is a good excuse!

Shame on them!

I've been reading the Athens 2004 website and on the results page it looks like she was in 3rd place after her set routine but something went wrong in her vol which dropped her into 13th place (that was her bib number as well, maybe it was unlucky for her!!!) But if she was in 3rd after the set then the BBC should have at least showed that good routine I think.

If you ask me its a disgrace that the BBC allowed an overrun on the trampolining.http://www.british-gymnastics.org/memberforum/images/icons/icon8.gif They only allotted 1/2 an hour in the first place and then we get the last 4 moves of kirsten,http://www.british-gymnastics.org/memberforum/images/icons/icon9.gif karavaeva`s blow outhttp://www.british-gymnastics.org/memberforum/images/icons/icon10.gif and the final`s routines. All in all about 15mins worth, they didn`t eat any time out of the subsequent showing[cycling, no offence to the cycle fraternity!]. A lot of time was given however to gymnastics[minimum of 6 hours by my reckoning] a routine only lasts around 20secs for goodness sake! If I`m not mistaken they can`t say nobody would be interested as the competion hall was packed to the rafters, although I don`t think Gary Smith will get a medal I do hope he makes the final eight!http://www.british-gymnastics.org/memberforum/images/icons/icon7.gif

Yeah I hope they show more of Gary Smith tonight than they did of Kirsten! The last 4 moves of her vol are on welcome.to/trampolining site - I've found out now that something went wrong near the beginning of her vol and she ended up doing only 9 moves instead of 10 ... if she'd done 10 I'm sure she would have made the final! That was such bad luck! She was in 3rd place after the set so she could've done brilliant for GB.

I've looked at the teletext to make sure what time the mens is on tonight and there's 3 things all on at the same time at 1635! I bet trampolining gets missed out the most again and the other 2 will get shown loads on telly!
