Tickets for Sale!

Is anyone else sick to death of seeing that on the home page of this site? It keeps being moved to the top of the latest news list, eclipsing real news :mad: - the BGA are obviously desperate to sell these tickets: from the Olympic Games. Hmmmmm are they transferable to the next olympics or any they simply a bit of paper you can stick in a box for future reference?????

I wondered about this, but as I am particularly impervious to such sentimentalities I thought it might just be me being a wet blanket again.

However, if we are selling useless things, I have a single railway ticket from Aylesbury to Peterborough (used and punched with a genuine GNER punch) if anyone is interested. This represents a one off opportunity to acquire a real piece of genuine UK railway heritage, and included in the offer is free gate pass for one London Underground transfer. But I shouldn't make light of the matter. If they can get money for them and it helps keep the fees down, I'm for it! It just seems a pity they didn't manage to sell them before the Olympics, when they might have been worth more.
