Can anybody do
Full twist to back drop, double twist to feet
Me and my friend were having a discussion and we've asked lots of people and we haven't found anyone who can do it yet. SO just wondered if anybody knew anyone who can do it.

I haven`t tried it but I don`t see why it couldn`t be done, full twist to back drop is easy enough and a Rob Roy[2 1/2 twisting cradle] can be done so a double twist to feet should just take a couple of go`s!!
before anyone asks I don`t know why its called a Rob Roy!!!http://www.british-gymnastics.org/memberforum/images/icons/icon10.gif

I know I can do the full twist in but I doubt I'll get the double twist out ...I'll give it a go tomorrow There are at least a couple of people at our club that might be able to do it.
How about a return challenge....seat drop 1 1/2 seat drop (swivel hips with 1 1/2 twist)

How about a return challenge....seat drop 1 1/2 seat drop (swivel hips with 1 1/2 twist)Funny I`ve always struggled with that one and turntables, just manage to get a fraction over 1/2 a turntable then it starts to twist so I finish in a back drop. http://www.british-gymnastics.org/memberforum/images/icons/icon6.gifAlthough I can do a back drop full twist to back drop going through the same axis, very strange!!http://www.british-gymnastics.org/memberforum/images/icons/icon11.gif

Full twist to seat drop - swivel hips - double twist to feet is good to try.

I used to try turntables all the time but could never get further than 1/2!!!
Took me 2 years to realise i was twisting the wrong way!!!
Twisting the right way i can now get 3/4, but won't hold it for the full thing!!!
So check you're going the right way as stupid as it sounds!!!

I`m definitely not twisting the wrong way, it`s just one of those things that just won`t happen and it`s not worth sweating the small stuff over.http://www.british-gymnastics.org/memberforum/images/icons/icon7.gif
However I can full back both ways, 1/2 to crash and 1/2 in 1&3/4 both ways.http://www.british-gymnastics.org/memberforum/images/icons/icon10.gif

Wow very impressive!!!Never really thought about it in that context Kelly, it really is just down to technique. I usually demonstrate the steps for the full the way a pupil would twist then show the steps in the other direction to place emphasis on the fact its technique not a talent thing.http://www.british-gymnastics.org/memberforum/images/icons/icon7.gif
However, I do enjoy showing more advanced performers as they don`t believe what they see and when they do realise the twist goes both ways it tends to mess with their heads, very funny!!http://www.british-gymnastics.org/memberforum/images/icons/icon10.gif

I was really bad when i t came to twisting i used to be able to barani both ways. And do fulls different ways pending on whether i do them on a trampoline or on the floor.
I 've never tried 1 1/2 twisting swivel hips, but i can corkscrew (1 1/2 twisting cradle)

I forgot about baranis, I can do them both ways as well, that is to say shaped ones [tuck/pike] again thats just due to technique front somi kick and twist which ever direction you want, actually it does say alot about awareness and control.Another combination I play with is 1&1/4 front, cody[backwards] to back,1&1/4 to front[actually its 1&1/2],cody to back repeating. Not a easy change in direction.!
