How do you start a public group on this new forum? Or how do you join one that already exists?

I noticed that on the profile too. What are they? Apart from something that none of us are members of?

Strange times for a strange person ;)
Have always been kind of insomniac / late night person. Problem is I don't like getting up early, never have. Am able to do it more now then when I was young.
To quote one of my favourite Garfield sayings "I'd like mornings better if they started later" :D

I think the sport must just attract people that are up all night!
On the old forum I once got five Pm's about something that was on the site for only a short time around 1 am.
I just go in for posting from all sorts of trains and buses all over the country - sleeper train tonight.

If you search Google for vBulletin and "Public Groups"... you'll find a lot of threads in forums running on vBulletin where people remark that nobody is a member of any public groups and ask what are they anyway?...:D
I've got the feeling this bit of the vBulletin manual must mean something: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/usergroups ... but not to me:confused:
PS What's wrong with silly times in the morning? :)

You can make groups, and then add members to those groups. You can then apply different permissions to different groups. There are no such groups here except Administrator and Moderator.
An example would be to create an 'Avatars' group, give that group the permission to have avatars, then add certain people to that group.
