boys attire

Hi,
I wonder if someone can tell me what sort of shorts boys wear for sports acro - like a cycle short style or a traditional short loose artistic gymnastics style?
If the cycle shorts style - where do you get them? or are they girls leotard shorts but worn by boys? If they go with a velour leotard are they velour too or lycra?

Hi Jacqui

Boys should wear gymnastic shorts or long gymnastic trousers for acro (some boys at the lower end of the NDP levels wear "sports shorts" but they're really supposed to have the gymnastic ones. Provided they're not too long and if there's two boys competing they both wear the same they usually get away with it! Many leotard companies do the shorts: Milano (http://www.milano-pro-sport.com), The Zone (http://www.the-zone.co.uk) and A-Star (http://www.astarleotards.co.uk)spring to mind as the most obvious ones.

They can also wear all in one catsuits if they like!
