I'm pleased for you!

My daughters in FIG and they still have compulsory elements but for her age (12-14) they are really easy - pancake (lucky shes a bendy barbie!), straddle lever, air turn, and tricep press up!

They found out after that technical meeting that decided to scrap compulsory moves for NAC that they can have a trio with one NAC person and 2 FIGs so she's in a trio now too! (our club has just 2 FIG in her age group)
Unfortunately for her they are basing it on one the other 2 did last year, and it has a straddle jump in it, and my daughter is awful at jumping! -Strong as an ox, and bendy as anything but cant jump to save her life! Then again - I guess she'll get to practice for when she has to do it as a compulsory move in the next age group!
What are your best moves? Which ones are you glad not to have to do out of the compulsory moves?

Bye for now,
Jacquie

Ooh, glad to hear the rule change has meant your daughter can compete in a trio :) I started out in a trio but we've decided to go our seperate ways and i'm doing an individual and they're doing a senior pair.

I'm so glad to be rid of that wenson push up! my splits are down, and hypersplits, and i can push up no problem- but put them together and it's just a disaster for me! I'm also pleased to have got rid of the straddle support 1/2 turn, there's no way i was ready for that- so now i'm jus doing a straddle support. and i've changed my straddle jump for a 1/1 air turn as we decided it was more likely for me to get credited for that. Overall- very very happy :) Got a whole load of conditioning to do though!
