No, this isn't what it sounds like!!!

I will be starting a new gymnastics after-school club and want to put up some slides to show the different disciplines of gymnastics, dispel the myth that artistic is the be-all and end-all of the sport. I particularly wanted to get positive images of boys enjoying gymnastics.

Since photographing children has become such a big deal (for obvious and correct reasons) does anyone know where there are any model shots or public domain pictures (perhaps leotard catalogues?) which show boys and girls actively engaged in something typical of each division of the sport (except trampolining)?

Thanks!

you may be able to download some images of different elements from the photo gallery, which you can find on the FIG website.

Thanks, though the photos on here are all men rather than school-aged children. I don't need it to be very complex moves but it is better to try to show primary children what other children are capable of. I was hoping some of the clothing catalogues would have the pictures with children actually doing gymnastics but they are always pictures of a grinning boy in a leotard standing still. Shame.

If you try the http://www.eppix.co.uk/
website I know that ep chagger has pictures of boys doing aerobic gymnastics - individual and trio from comps in Uk last year - he has password protected a lot of his pages but if you email him and ask I am sure you would be able to view the ones you need - ones that spring to mind are the boy who did a James Bond routine last year - has a good photo of him miming using binoculars (scroll down his opening page and you can see this) - and others, and a trio that boy was in, and also pics of Sebastian de Verteuil from Pinewood who was selected for National Squad in aerobic gymnastics and competed in Holland this month. I'd email him if I were you and see if he can help.
