Do you know the scores?
Hopefully the full results will go up somewhere? Here on BG website maybe now that the Aerobics seem to be getting lots of info on the downloads part which makes a nice change for us who are not well connected to people who know all thats going on in the big clubs!
How many was Sebastian up against? I saw him compete for his first time at the Alex Strachan as an NAC last year and its great that he's done so well!

Shame quite a few of these medallists haven't been selected to go to France!!!!
Due to the fact they haven't reached the benchmark score at GB National events. Especially as our athletes that competed abroad last year score much higher there than at home.

So whats the story here Fran?
Have these people who went to Holland gone via the national squad testing procedure that was published on BG website - if so why wont they go to France too?
Have people who werent selected decided to and been able to travel independantly and compete not under the auspices of BG?
This is intriguing - dont give us a bit of info and then clam up please Fran!!
Having seen the scores on your sisters website I see what you mean about the scores! Which of these people werent selected to compete?

Due to the current TC changing the benchmark score for selection a couple of weeks ago the Gymnast’s that have been denied the opportunity to compete in France and won medals in Holland are:
12-14yr Trio silver
12-14yr male Ind Gold
15-17yr trio Gold
Senior Trio Silver
Senior Group Gold
The 15-17 yr Female Individuals did not reach the benchmark set for their age group but have been allowed to go as wild cards. (Compare the top 3 Holland scores to seniors to see they are a pretty good standard) to me this says the benchmark has been set too high. Why I Wonder?????????
I am not saying these gymnasts would win medals in France but I do think they should be given the opportunity. I also think it is very short-sighted not to give as many gymnasts as possible the opportunity to compete with the Worlds best in order to bring up the standard in this country. International experience is invaluable.
