Hey guys,
So when is the change due to happen, and when will find out the new criterias and all that?
I supose will be before the end of the year to allow us to get used to the new system before training for the NDP regionals and finals next year?
I didnt get to go to the finals in the end, a big mix up getting from uni (bournemouth) to home (staffs) to get there!! (im so blonde sometimes!!!)
but i hear it was as hectic and enjoyable as years gone by!! haha!
so yeah would be good if anyone knows when we can get hold of the new plan?

I know they're working on the new NDP right now. If I hear of a definite date for the release I'll let you know.
The Finals were very busy and very enjoyable: congrats and well done to all who took part, wherever you finished. Remember to qualify for the finals you're already a champion.

I was notified a few days' ago that NDP6 has now been ratified and will be available shortly.
As soon as I get details of the date of publication, cost and where to send orders I'll pass it on!
I assume that it will come into force as soon as it's available: our region are running their championships in November on NDP6 and I believe some of the invitational etc in the latter part of the year will also be using NDP6.
A very brief overview (and it is brief) is:
The two lowest grades are Preparatory A & B which will lead to Regional Finals only.
The next three Grades are Grades 1, 2 & 3 and will lead to NDP National Finals (Grades 1 & 2 are one combined exercise, whilst Grade 3 has a balance & dynamic exercise).
The top four grades are British and Tournament Final levels (direct entry) and are:
Grade 4, which will have balance and dynamic exercises,
Grade 5 (FIG 12-19 age group regulations: 6 years difference): balance, dynamic & combined exercises.
Grade 6 (out of age): Senior FIG regulations but 12-19 restrictions for under-18 bases: balance and dynamic exercises
Grade 7 Senior: Senior FIG regulations/Senior British Championships: balance, dynamic and combined exercises.

HI Hayley
There is talk of the age change but I don't know if it's been agreed yet or whether it's likely to. Will keep you posted if I hear anything.
Re: the NDP - I think there will be some changes to balances etc as there always is. Hope they don't keep us waiting too long for the actual release date.
You going to be at the competition Sunday? If so, I'll see you there.

hi thanks for the reply !!!
we are looking forward to the release of the new ndp and the news of the age change as it will probably effect our pairs and groups quite alot.
unfortunately i wont be at the SE comp as i have now moved north and teach gymnastics in the north east !!! its a growing club we've only been open a year and all the competitions we have done so far we have managed to come away with medels so not bad really !!! most of my old gym mates will be at the comp though i think (bevendean gym club - if you've heard of them !!!!!)
keep us posted as soon as you find anything out
thanks hayley

we are so desperate for the new NDP as we have just had new trials with all our bases and tops and need to know what level of balances we will be working towards this year so PLEASE HURRY UP AND RELEASE THE NEW NDP !!!!!!!!!! ( its like not knowing a secret !!)

NDP6 is now available - cost £20 including CD, printed version and electronic tariff sheets. Also included FIG tables of Difficulty & Code of Points (vers. March 2005). PM me for the name and address (as it's someone's home address I don't feel it's my place to post it on the forum).

It's definitely given our higher level NDP gymnasts more enthusiasm to continue.
I'm busy printing and laminating the tariff sheets because our book is getting well tumbed already!
