Well done to all involved, but...

Does this mean that they'll give funding such that we'll hopefully have lots of competitors at it in the different disciplines?

If they improve London's transport system such that it can cope with the number of people that are there, let alone more people, it's got to be an improvement though!

Hope other parts of the country benefit, London gets everything!!!
I can't believe how France slated us - totally uncalled for, (silly frogs!!!).
But pleased we won it.
Scary thought though, it is 7 years away, by then i'll be coming to the end of Uni life!!!
Well that was todays brain power - managed to come up with an amazinf fact!!!
Good luck to everyone competing in the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games - i'm sure my luck is going to be useful for many people reading this forum!!!

After this mornings events, it looks like improvements to the transport system will be carried out sooner rather than later!!

I`m starting to think that the French would have been on the recieving end should they have got the olympic bid!

Its a very sad time when such an event that harmonises so many people should be abused in such a way! I`ve no doubt that there is a link as the worlds eyes were on london and it was ripe for their misdeeds[there are stronger words I could of used].

WOW we got it!! Did anyone go to Trafalgar Square? I did the atmosphere was fantastic, so pleased I went. When Jaque Rogge read out London every just started jumping up and down, hugging people and then crying. I didnt think i'd be that nervous but I actually had butterflies and then goose pimples when we won. Does anyone know when the tickets will go on sale?! I know its 7 years away (when I'm 25- SCARY!) but I want to make sure I can go
