Hey again all, nice to see the forum's still vaguely alive!

I was wondering how to get into coaching. Because I know back up in Inverness, you do the course, you pass the exams, and then you coach.. but it's voluntary.

I'm at uni in London now, and am gonna have to get a job of some variety once I get back from summer (although I'm not even on holiday yet!), and I'd much rather be coaching than standing behind a bar if I can help it. But unfortunately I can only do it if I get paid.

So I dont know then, if that makes a difference to how I go about doing the course and exams. Or if indeed there are any non-voluntary clubs here in need of coaches.

Does anyone have any ideas? Cheers,
bop x

No difference as far as the courses and exams are concerned. There are clubs around that pay coaches - we pay all of ours - so good luck finding one handy to where you are.

Plus if you're looking for coaching jobs, lots of kids summer camps want qualified gym/tramp coaches too.
