Is it a necessity that you have a club coach present if you are just a trampoline coach?
Is it ok to run your own club just being a coach and not a club coach?
I'm probably asking a stupid question:confused: , but it would be helpful if I knew.
I have been searching the baga website but couldn't find anything to help me.
Also, what is the first qualification to achieve to become a gymnastics coach? What qualification would I need in gymnastics to start my own club?
Any help would be appreciated.
THANX

I'm pretty certain you need to be club coach to run a club, but as far as I'm aware ( & hope!) a club coach doesn't need to be present unless someone is performing at that level.

I am not sure within trampolining but within gymnastics it is CLUB COACH is the minimum requirement to do sessions on your own or have a club. Assisant club coach / helper / floor&vault coaches MUST have a CLUB COACH or higher qualifed coach present at all times and cannot coach unless supervised by a sutiably qualified coach. Plus the club coach qualification needs to be discipline specific ie. need pre school for U5's, etc.

I believe you are meant to have a club coach present at sessions too.

It all depends on what level the kids are that you are coaching...like if the senior coach or whatever goes out of the room and there is only a club coach left...then the kids who are at grades 1,2,3 and 4 aren't allowed to bounce until the senior coach comes back.

I read it that the higher grades can perform within the limits of the highest coach that remains in the room, so that if they normally do (don't know tramp examples!!) a double twisting straight and the principal coach pops out of the room then they can carry on training any non-twisting saltos that the club coach is trained for but no twists until a twist-qualified coach comes back, and whatever the equivalent is on the trampoline.
