Does anyone know how many posts you need to be a 'Member' and how many posts gets you a new blob?
Dave

Nah it can't be. Laura has 34 posts and she is a member. The next person has 20 and is a Junior Member.

Hi Elliot
It seems to be 30 now to become a member I think.
I also am not sure that the 'blobs' exist any more? Anita and DJC have clocked up quite a few posts and are only 'members', neither possessing any blobs from what I can see

DJC had found out - it's on another thread somewhere. I believe it's 30 for a member but 100 for a senior member.

It is a shame that - it must feel really gd if sum1 gets a new blob every now and then!!!LOL!!!!
Anita
18th June 2004, 02:31 PM
Yeah - must admit that waiting to see when you'd get the next blob was fun! Beside there's plenty of space next to our names for loads of blobs.

I hope you like my new signature Anita!!!LOL!!

Ah! Too big! Could request for more member statuses, but it could encourage spamming. Just to let you know, there is no status after Senior Member (100) yet, so don't try and get to the next level!

Any particularly funny stories about them, or so far just plain boring / annoying / stupid?

I've just realised this but instead ofd gaining blobs they change colour!
Anita
18th June 2004, 08:17 PM
Nah! Your blob is grey unless you're on the forum, then it goes green.

I want a purple blob 'cos I like purple!
Before I got married I painted my bedroom dark purple, purple and .... lighter purple :) , My sisters hated it (I had to share a bedroom with them) but as I was older and bought the paint they had to put up with it :p .

I really want a purple room, but my parents won't let me decorate it, so roll on wen i get my own place! :)
Anita
18th June 2004, 08:43 PM
That's a real shame. My girls have their own rooms and have been allowed to decorate them as they want.
Becki went from "Snatch" (when she was 12) to a more teenage theme: it's turquoise and peachy/orangey with Navy curtains, carpet etc - looks much nicer than it sounds. It's also covered in loads of posters with a lot of shelves full of books and videos/DVDs ....
Liz had hers decorated red and white when she was younger - with Man Utd freeze, curtains etc. She's been wanting to change it for ages but hadn't got round to it. She's now decided to keep the red and change the rest to make the room oriental in theme (she's already got the bedding and the paint - but hasn't done the painting yet). Her boyfriend can't wait: as a Chelsea fan he hates sleeping in a Man Utd room ....:D

well im working on saving up and then pleading with my parents to let me decorate it! But somehow i dont think they'd trust me with a paint brush coz id probably end up more covered than the wall itself! lol

Not really. They are just really annoying. They scatter trolleys round the car park then complain when there are no trolleys in the trolley park!!!

Slight stereotyping going on there perhaps... I am sometimes a customer at B&Q, does that mean that there is nothing worse than me? What about axe-murderers? Am I worse than them? Anyway, /me points to the size tags.

I'm sure he doesn't think that you, or the vast percentage of the population that will have shopped there, are worse than axe-murderers :)
Why take life too seriously when it's the only thing you can't get out of alive!

I was being sarcastic, as I'm sure he was :) Good quote that.

Of course, did you make a nuisance of yourself while you were there? Because if you did then maybe... ;)
I knew someone that did their work experience in a B&Q. They a had a horrendous time, which included being chased round the shop by an old lady that shook her walking stick after him.

We constantly have to throw kids out who come in and start running around.
We were locking up on Saturday night and we didn't leave till 10 pm!!!
There were about 20 kids around the store and it was just me and my manager left. A few of them had locked themselves in the display conservatory!!

Good grief, does it matter? Do people really post to get recognition?
Sue

No, it's just for fun - why not enjoy using the forum? :)
DJC
24th June 2004, 05:53 PM
No, it doesn't really matter. I'm always careful not to post for the sole purpose of increasing my post count. Is it really causing you grief? I was just mentioning that I had got a new label.
peter edge
24th June 2004, 06:15 PM
of course it doesn`t, "good grief" is only a phrase and it wasn`t aimed at you personally: I know what has been said previously on the old forum as I have been a "watcher" but really people need to lighten up a bit more on this site, hey I got you anther post didn`t I after all.lol!!
DJC
24th June 2004, 11:04 PM
Yes you did, but that doesn't make me overly happy, just normal. As for lightening up, you were the one to point out that we shouldn't care about post counts. Anyway, enough on that issue :)

Well my mum's let me stay up late tonight to watch a DVD with her (Freaky Friday - it was really good!) and she's let me come on the forum for a few minutes ... and I think I've only got about 3 to go before I am a member :D
