Im having the same problem. I want some music for a pairs balance routine. Ive found some however the track has been cut to 1 min 20 (for a four piece floor routine) and I do not know the name of it. :(

Hi Jackie
Couple of things you could do - either "loop" it (so that it repeats - taking the end of the first loop and the beginning off the second to make it 2.30) or find another short piece that compliments it and splice them together.
Having said that - without knowing what it is you could be in danger of using a "forbidden" piece of music. If you're positive it isn't Disney, Cirque or Andrew L-W then you're OK.
There are many places to find music if you look hard enough (although it's not all suitable for routines!) - some singles have instrumental versions on them, synthesizer CD's, Orchestras (ie "London Philharmonic plays Queen"), classical tracks, soundtracks, TV themes, Vanessa Mae and the like. Some are downloadable from various places on the internet, others can be bought in music shops, some in "cheap" shops (I got a couple CD's with some great useable tracks for 2.99 each), e-bay ..........
I spent a few weeks at the end of August/beginning of September cutting new music for our club (some very old tracks we used years ago which no-one uses anymore among them) - the problem is trying to persuade the gymnasts to listen beyond the first few notes and not to choose something "done to death" by others in the club or other clubs. As a judge it gets very tedious hearing the same thing over and over again - and watching the same routines, by different gymnasts, over and over again (a couple clubs in our region do this and they've lost the "wow" factor from their routines!).
Dave - see you next month ;)
