Copied from a post by DJC (hope you don't mind DJC) in the Non-Members: Enquiries forum

Currently after signing up, you will be sent a confirmation email. After activating your account by following the link, you will be able to read threads. However, users are currently being validated individually by moderators it seems. The process didn't take too long for me, but until then you will receive this message when attempting to reply:
Quote:
Your account has been activated but you are currently in the moderation queue to be added to the forum.

After you have been "moderated" you will receive a second e-mail saying that you're account's validated. After that you can post etc.

Don't mind at all :)

The 2 e-mails have the subjects:
Action Required to Activate Membership for British Gymnastics Member Forums!

and after clicking the link in that e-mail, you cannot post until your account has been validated by a moderator. You will know when you can post when you receive a second e-mail with the subject:

Account validated at British Gymnastics Member Forums!

The time between my 2 e-mails was 20 minutes. This may increase as more members register though; just be patient! :)

Edit: No users will be moderated after 17:00 June 01 until some time on June 02 I assume.

How can I change my name? I'm not too fond of this one- common as muck!

I don't think you can - I think you'd have to PM Helen or Forum Administrator and ask them to let you re-register.

I think it can be changed without having to re-register. Forum Administrator or Helen would be the best bet I assume.

Helen has replied on the non-member forum ("enquiries" / "new members") to this question:

If you want to change your user name it can be done quite easily, just send me a pm with the new name that you want to use.
