Hi,
In sports acro do you get artistry marks if the gymnasts leotard matches your routine? A few years ago there was talk that the gymnasts leotard should represent their routine, is this still the case?
Thanks

i dont think it matters, infact i think you loose quite alot for having 'themed' leotards. A trio at the Tournament this weekend lost marks for having a leo that looked like a bow tie and dinner jacket.
So I'd say just go for a flattering and pretty leo! haha! and nothing OTT. x

There seems to be a very fine line regarding "themed" leotards and it's best not to take a chance.
I'd be interested to know if the American Senior MP got deducted for theirs that was a chinese style with chinese symbols on it. I also know a trio that had a lovely leotard at the British that had a dragon on it and they did a routine to chinese music - they were advised not to wear it again.
Nick: were you judging and, if so, do you know the answer?

I was doing the press coverage for gymnast magazine and was there all weekend!
A trio from my old club wore a red catsuit with a dragon on it at the tournament on sunday, might have been them at the british earlier in the year too!!

Yes - I was there. You know those results you collected on Sunday? Well I gave them to you!
We met :D but didn't realise it :o .
That trio leotard was really nice - hope they didn't get deducted for it. Did you know Jess went down with a bug late morning and had to go home? Hope it was only a 24-hour thing and she's OK now.

Hi Anita, Yes I was there judging, dont think they got a deduction, what about the American Trio with the three coloured leotards ? complementary we decided in the end, but very much stretching the limits

Yes - I wondered about that one myself! I've seen something similar but all three leotards had the same colours: just in different places (ie each had a different coloured sleeve).
