starting to drive me batty, hadn`t taken much notice of those quote boxes until I thought it could be useful[DJC seems to use them in abundance] come on give us a clue before the wood on the head gets too thin!!

Open the quote box by typing QUOTE in square brackets - []. Close it by typing /QUOTE, also in square brackets (can't actually type it or you'll see the quote box not the code).

To include a name type QUOTE=name inside the brackets (still /QUOTE to end it).

There's an easier way, which is quicker - block and copy the text you want to quote and click on the http://www.british-gymnastics.org/memberforum/images/editor/quote.gifsymbol at the right hand side of the lower toolbar (above the box you're typing in) and the [ QUOTE ] [ /QUOTE ] appears automatically. Just paste the text you want to quote between the two. :)

Depends what setting you are using for the input box. If you are using the one where there are format controls like you would see in Word, then like Anita said, just click on the quote button, and paste your text in the pop-up message box. It will do all the tag formatting for you. Otherwise, you have to type the tags manually.
