Great Britain kicked started their World Games with a bang after securing two gold medals in the acro competition.

In the Women's Pair, Shanie-Redd Thorne and Danielle Jones performed their Balance and Dynamic routine to qualify for the final in 3rd place. With a zero final in the combined routine they gave a clean performance resulting in Gold and the World Games title with a score of 28.410 clear of Ukraine in silver with 27.755 and Belarus in third (26.930).

In the Mixed Pair category, Alice Upcott and Dominic Smith also gave some exceptional performances in their Balance and Dynamic to qualify for the final in 2nd place. They too sensed the opportunity and gave an exceptional performance to take the World Games title in the Mixed Pairs with 30.090 ahead of Portugal in silver (29.660) and Belgium in bronze (28.790).

In the men's synchronised trampoline event, the partnership of Luke Strong and Nathan Bailey unfortunately had to count mistakes in both of their routines and finished in 9th place.

Full results from all events.

The competition continues with the acro men's pair and women's group qualification and finals and the men's and women's tumbling qualification and finals.
