to come.”
Kohei Uchimura (JPN) - Champion

“Last year I didn’t think I would have a chance of winning a medal but
after winning the silver medal I became aware of my position and have
continuously worked hard knowing that the gold medal was something I

Olympics… this has been good experience and preparation.”

gap of over a point between him and his closest competitor:
“It didn’t occur to me to play safe – I have been working hard to do
the best performance and it would be wrong to play safe just because
there is a gap.”
