Gold medal - Bridget Sloan (USA)
On the competition:
“Going into the competition I wasn’t looking at medals I was just putting myself out there and doing my best. I am really happy with my gold medal”
On how she felt about her beam routine (Bridget fell in qualification):
“Going into beam thought of prelims were going through my head but I’ve done it so many times it should come naturally.  My start value is not that high so I tried to make my B score as high as possible”
On how it felt to watch Rebecca Bross on her floor routine:
“I was nervous for Rebecca and wanted her to do the best she could, the same for all the gymnasts.  I am proud of how we both represented the US.  I didn’t really notice until the end until I looked at the scoreboard and saw it was so close.”

Silver medal - Rebecca Bross (USA)
On the competition:
“I am very pleased with my silver medal.  I tried my hardest and am very proud of what I did here today.”
On whether she felt the competition was already won before the final floor exercise:
“No, I still had another event left and had to show what I could do.  I had a mishap at the end of my routine and there’s nothing I can do to change that now.”

Bronze medal - Koko Tsurumi (JPN)
On the competition:
“I believe I was able to perform with elegance today and there were not too many deductions.  I am very happy with my medal.”
On what it means to win a medal for the women’s team given the success of men’s gymnastics in Japan:
“The women’s team haven’t been as strong in the past but since last year more attention has been paid and women’s gymnastics in Japan is getting stronger and stronger.  I hope this will continue for the Olympic Games.”

Becky Downie 16th (GBR): "It just wasn't meant to be for me today,I did my best and it didn't quite come off but I've got plenty more opportunities to come. It's better for something like this to happen now than to hurt my confidence closer to 2012. I'm definitely taking lots of positives from the competition because there were lots of things I did well. The pressure got to everyone here and it was reassuring to see lots of other people falling - at least it wasn't just me. It's hard to perform in situations like this and my experiences this week will only help for next time. I've definitely got a long way to go but I'm getting there."

Becky Wing 18th (GBR) : "I feel like it  went okay for me this evening,I got better and better as I went on which is encouraging. It was pretty scary doing my beam routine at the end because, being the last competitor on the last apparatus, all the focus was on me but I think I did alright. I think I need to improve the difficulty of my routines for next time and that's definitely something I'll be working on for next season. t's hard with my height but I'm going to go back and work on some new routines because it would make such a difference to my final total."
