13/11/09 - The finals are underway in St Petersburg with British interest in almost every event. The Women’s tumbling Team finished in 4th place in the first final scoring 90.200 leaving them just behind Bronze placed Canada, with the Russian Team taking Gold and USA Silver. The Men’s Tumbling Team also finished 4th scoring 102.500, the Chinese took Gold from Russia 1 and Belarus 1. The British Men’s DMT Team have also taken 4th position scoring 69.200. The Portugal Team took Gold, from Russia and the United States. In the Women’s Synchronized Trampoline, Kat Driscoll and Cara Jamieson finished in 5th (44.800); China took Gold from Canada 2 and Uzbekistan. James Higgins (39.600) finished in 7th position in the Men’s Individual Trampoline Final. The final was dominated by the Chinese gymnasts DONG Dong (42.900) and LU Chunlong (42.300) with Ueyama of Japan in Bronze (42.100). |
