Rhythmic girls on the way home from Euros! PDF Print E-mail
The British Rhythmic gymnasts and delegates are on route back to the UK after competing at the European Championships, in Bremen (GER).

The Senior Group (Kerrie Denton, Francesca Fox, Lynne Hutchison, Louisa Pouli and Rachel Smith) and Junior Individuals; Laura Halford and Amy Stewart, are expected back some time on Monday evening, after being forced to travel home by coach due to the flight disruption caused by the volcanic ash.

The Junior girls were both making their Major Championships debuts while the Senior group representing GB was the first group in over ten years to compete thanks to great efforts made by coaches Sarah Binding and Maria Foster along with choreographer Ioana Popova. The event was a great opportunity for the girls to test themselves, with a decision now to be made on entering the World Championship later this year in Moscow.

On the coach with the girls are many delegates from the UEG, including President George Guelzec on route to the Artistic European,s as well as family members and fans who were also stranded and in need of a lift home.
