The news coming in from Varna is getting better and better!
Even more medals on Saturday for GB!

2 GOLD, 5 SILVER AND 6 BRONZE FOR BRITAIN !!!

mpetitions have begun at the European Championship in Trampoline, Tumbling and Double-mini Trampoline in Varna (BUL). After an epic coach trip the British gymnasts were straight into the action and straight into the medals!

The Finals

Shaun Gregory is the Boys European Tumbling Champion scoring 68.60 to take the Gold with teammate Jordan Lucas in 4th. Lucie Colebeck took the Silver in the Tumbling Girls competition scoring 61.60 behind Danilenko of Russia; Britain's Emily Marsden-Payne was in 4th. In the Seniors events, Sam Rockett (63.10) finished 4th and Zara McLean 6th 59.20)

Robyn Osborne took the DMT Women’s Silver (67.50) with Coreen John in 5th.Matthew Swaffer finished 4th and Peter Cracknell 5th in the Men’s event. Sapphire Dallard took the Silver in the DMT girl’s event (63.70) with Sophia Beavan in 4th.
Rhys Gray took the DMT boys Bronze (65.10.

Pamela Clark won Bronze in the Junior Trampoline Final scoring 36.40 while Nathan Bailey came 6th in the boys final (37.50).

Katherine Driscoll just missed out on a European medal finishing in 4th in the Senior Women’s event. Natasha Carter and Sophie Lewis came 6th in the girls Trampoline Synchro whilst Joe Beery and Ryan Stickland finished 8th in the Boys Synchro.

Gold for the Junior Tumbling Women’s Team: Lucie Colebeck, Emily Marsden-Payne, Paige Clarke and Jemma Sanders (91.70), and Silver for the Junior Boys Team: Jordan Lucas, Shaun Gregory, Kristof Willerton and Jordan Ramos (102.30).
The Tumbling Women’s Team; Samantha Rocket, Zara McLean, Sarah Turner and Jennifer Dawes all from Wakefield Gym Club, have taken the Silver (98.20) medal, pushing Champions Russia right to the final routine with the Ukraine in third.

The British Trampoline girls (Natasha Carter, Pamela Clark, Natasha Short, and Sophie Lewis) scored 102.40 to take them to Team Bronze behind Belarus in Silver and the mighty Russia in Gold. The Trampoline Boys (Jackson, Ryall, Bailey) finished in 5th place in their Team final (78.40).

In the DMT Ladies Final, the British girls (Robyn Osbourne, Coreen John and Claire Madigan) took Team Bronze scoring 92.90 with Germany in Silver and Russia taking Gold. The DMT Men (Matthew Swaffer, Peter Cracknell and David Rimmer) also took Bronze, (101.00) behind Russia in Silver and Germany in Gold.The DMT Junior Girls have won Team Bronze, Sapphire Dallard, Mia Taylor, and Sophia Beavan scoring 85.40.

Preliminaries

Zara McLean (61.60) and Samantha Rocket (60.50) both cruised into the Women’s Tumbling Individual finals as Sarah Turner (55.60) would have done had it not been for the, ‘2 gymnasts per country to through to the final’, rule. The Women’s Team comfortably made their Final.

The Junior Tumbling Men’s and Women’s Teams have both made the Team Finals. The girls (Colebeck, Marsden-Payne, Sanders and Clarke) scored 181.20 to finished 2nd in their qualifications. Lucie Colebeck led the way in the girls Tumbling preliminaries (62.80) with Emily Marsden-Payne (59.70) joining her in the Final. GBR will be filly represented in the Junior Tumbling Individual Finals with Lucas Jordan (65.30) and Shaun Gregory (64.00) in the boys Final.

In the Men’s DMT preliminaries Matthew Swaffer (70.50) and Peter Cracknell (68.30) go through to the final, whilst Rhys Gray (61.70) makes the boys final. Sophia Beavan (62.90) and Sapphire Dallard (62.20) made the girls DMT Final.

In the Trampoline competitions the Junior Girls Team (Clark, Short, Lewis, Carter) finished 5th in the preliminaries meaning they qualify for finals. Pamela Clarke also made the Individual Final scoring 61.50 to put her in 4th place in qualifications. Nathan Bailey (62.60) goes into the Junior Men’s Final after finishing 7th and the boy's Team made the Final after finishing in 5th.

Kat Driscoll has made it into the Senior Women's Final after finishing 5th in preliminaries, Byrony Page ended in 15th.Natasha Carter and Sophie Lewis make trhe Synchro girls Final (76.10).Joe Beery and Ryan Stickland (76.10) are into the boys Synchro Final.
