Daniel Keatings on being crowned European Pommel horse Champion: “I feel awesome! I qualified in second place, just behind Louis. Louis made an unfortunate error, which opened the gap for me. Yesterday I fell off the pommel in team final so I tried to redeem myself today, come in and do the best pommel routine I could do, and I did it!”

On the success of the GB team “you cant sum it up in words, both seniors and juniors, we’ve broken records in the GB squad and its just awesome!”

Kristial Thomas, great tumbles but not secure enough on landings, double Arabians piked and tucked, 1 1/2 to front full, 2 1/2 to front half, straight Thomas roll, 1 3/4 roll out, 14.975.

POMMELS

Dan Keatings, at the end of a great test of nerve and confidence, Dan Keatings hit the jackpot, 15.6 EUROPEAN CHAMPION

Louis Smith, first up, start a tight shear to handstand then through Wu and triple Russian a real loss of form; the E jury were awake, 15.375.SILVER MEDAL

Saso Bertoncelj, Slovenia, full turn one arm, full turn one arm to pommel loop, good swing, simple dismount, 14.8.BRONZE MEDAL

Van Damme, Belgium, good routine but stepped off the shear to handstand, 14.575.

Flavious Koczi, Romania, clean swing but those shear actions, up and down twice to handstand, can always look better, 14.875.

Busnari, Italy, a double dip at the dismount, 13.875

Vid Hivegi, a clean routine but short on difficulty, 6.2, 14.85.
