Toshko Pavlov - National Coach for Acrobatic Gymnastics PDF Print E-mail
Toshko Pavlov started as artistic gymnast and after that as base of mixed pair and men’s four. In this partnership he won a number of medals, including at the World Championships and World Cup events.  Toshko is from a strong academic background; Associate professor of the Bulgarian Academy of Sport researching in the field of Training Methodology and Biomechanics.  As a gymnast he was awarded ‘Master of Sport’ [Merit] and as a coach, ‘Master Coach’, [Merit].

In his first visit to UK he coached in King Alfred School, Burnham on Sea, (1991-1994).  In 1998 he was employed by British Gymnastics as part of the World Class Programme / Team, working in a peripatetic coaching role within acrobatics.  In this period he was instrumental in creating the Development Plans. His contribution in creating some of the testing programmes run and inputting into other written materials, including the NDP, was significant.

We now welcome Toshko into the new role as National Coach for Acrobatic and wish him much success.
