| Separation of Acrobatic into Tumbling Qualifications to Allow Entry into Tumbling Competitions |

Sports Acrobatics Coaches in Tumbling In order for the British Gymnastics on line entry system to work for tumbling competitions we need to allocate a tumbling specific award to coaches whose acrobatics qualification contained tumbling content. - All coaches holding a cycle 5 or earlier sports acrobatics award at Coach or Club Coach level be awarded a cycle 6 BG (not UKCC) tumbling level 2 award. - Any coach holding a cycle 5 or earlier sports acrobatics award at -Coach or Club Coach level who has additionally attended a twisting salto skills add on module be awarded a cycle 6 BG tumbling level 3, module 1 award. - All coaches holding a cycle 5 or earlier sports acrobatics award at Senior Club Coach, High Performance Coach or International Performance Coach level be awarded a cycle 6 BG tumbling level 3, module 1 award. Any of these coaches wishing to compete tumblers using double back salto skills must attend the new L3 module 2 course and complete the necessary sign off procedure. Please remember that if you are entering tumbling competitions you will need to show evidence of this qualification. This will also allow on-line entry of competitions. If you would like an up-to date tumbling certificate and hold any of the above qualifications please complete the slip below and return to the Education Department, British Gymnastics, Ford Hall, Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Nr Newport, Shropshire, TF10 9NB by the 31st August 2010 with a cheque for £5.00 made payable to British Gymnastics.
