Following the final trampoline gymnastics Olympic trial held at the Greenbank Sports Academy in Liverpool on June 2 British Gymnastics can confirm that Kat Driscoll has placed top of the competition trial process and so is in pole position to be nominated for inclusion in Team GB.

Kat will now be undergoing a period of competition training preparation in order to maintain performance and fitness levels before an internal British Gymnastics approval meeting on 25th June, following which nominations will be put forward to the British Olympic Association for ratification ahead of the formal Gymnastics Team announcement on the 4th July in Loughborough.

The selection process took into account the best two qualification rounds and best two individual final round scores for all eligible gymnasts across four events - the 2011 World Championships (Birmingham), the 2012 Test Event (London), the 2012 European Championships (St. Petersburg, Russia) and the final trial at the 2012 Northern Gala in Liverpool this last weekend
