Just weeks from the start of the London Olympics and Britain’s best rhythmic gymnasts will be in action, with Olympian-to-be Francesca Jones looking to claim her sixth British title at Fenton Manor from 29 June- 1st July.

With the British Olympic team officially announced on July 4th, Frankie who has long been the front runner for the Games will be looking to once again prove her herself. Ranked as the highest British gymnast at the 2011 World Championships in Montpellier, Frankie is set to be announced as our sole representative in the Individual event at London 2012, and this will be her last competition on domestic soil before the Games.

 

Going up against Frankie for the senior crown are last year’s Bronze medallist – the 2011 all-around runner-up Keziah Gore (City of Canterbury) and the bronze medallist Mimi-Isabelle Cesar (City of Birmingham) along with the two strong newcomers at the senior level from (Esprit Gymnastics) - the 2011 Junior British Champion Laura Halford and the 2011 Junior runner-up Stephani Sherlock.

For the first time ever the rhythmic gymnastics will also feature men’s artistic gymnasts in action as the under 12 and under 14 boys join the spectacle of action at Fenton Manor.

With Britain’s junior's once again dominating the European Championships in 2012, all eyes will be on their younger compatriots to see which stars are next in line.
