After months of anticipation, the wait is finally over, the London 2012 Olympic Games are upon us and the greatest show on earth is about to begin.
The GB men’s artistic team will begin their campaign in subdivision 1 of the qualification competition at 11am (Saturday 28th July) and the women in subdivision 3 at 2:45pm (Sunday 29th July). Our GB female trampoline gymnast Kat Driscoll will stake her claim on Saturday 4th August in the first flight with the rhythmic qualifications for our group and individual Frankie Jones, taking place on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th August.

With the Games fast approaching British Gymnastics doesn’t want its members and fans to miss out on any of the action. The BG media team will be down in London providing you with regular updates to make sure you don’t miss a thing.

British Gymnastics ‘The road to London 2012’ by Eileen Langsley
A new book entitled ‘The road to London 2012’ is a well-illustrated coffee table publication of 120 pages with 485 colour and black and white images of British Gymnasts from the past and present. It celebrates the history of the sport in the UK but focusses mainly on the current generation of stars. The three Olympic disciplines of gymnastics are covered - Artistic, Rhythmic and Trampoline. The book is also available as an e book for iPads and iPhones. The majority of the photography is by Eileen Langsley, taken over a period of thirty five years.
