Then this is the weekend for you…

British Gymnastics are piloting two new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities through our Level 1 Gymnastics for All add-on-modules.  These modules have been created to support coaches from all disciplines and gymnastics backgrounds when creating display and festival routines.  Each module is a 6-hour course containing a mixture of practical and theory sections, giving you new ideas, hints and tips.

Day 1 – Display, Music and Movement

The module is geared towards those coaches and clubs interested in developing festival gymnastics and takes into consideration qualifications, themes, music, floor patterns & movement, costume, creative choreography, rules and performance opportunities.  It is also ideal for those who would like new ideas and inspiration.

 Day 2 – Showtime Choreography

This module focuses on the style of the performance and how it can be used to build a great display routine.  Regardless of the dance or performance style chosen, how this style is used to create a group routine depends on drawing expressive qualities out of all your performers.  This module will help you to get the very best from your display group through focusing on key areas such as dance styles, Laban, expression, key dance steps, skills, floor patterns and creative choreography.  This module is ideal for those coaches who have experience in choreographing displays and who would now like more support to extend their knowledge and understanding further and for those who have completed the Display, Music and Movement Module.

British Gymnastics would like to offer these modules at a one-off subsidised rate of £50 per module/per day or £150 for attendance on both days (the cost for attending on both days includes hotel accommodation, 3 course dinner and breakfast).  A reduced rate of £120 per person is also available for shared/twin rooms.  The future set costs of these modules will £65 each per person.

If you are attending both days, please enrol onto both modules individually and send a cheque for £150 or £120 with a letter to confirm the accomodation you require.
 

The closing date is Thursday 13^th December 2012 at 5pm. THIS COURSE IS NOW FULL. However - A 2 hour taster session for each module - 'Display, Music and Movement' and 'Showtime Choreography' will be held at the GB Gymfusion in Sheffield on 9th and 10th March 2013.
