Come away with a coaching qualification at the 2013 National Club Conference
Alongside the workshops, in 2013, British Gymnastics is going one step further to give you the ultimate conference experience. All delegates who attend the National Club Conference and Awards weekend will now have the chance to come away with a qualification in one of the GfA add on modules in either Choreography, Games and Fitness or Freestyle Gymnastics, all included in the conference package.

*Places will be given on a first come first served basis with only 90 spaces available, so be sure to book soon to avoid disappointment.

OPTION 1: Freestyle
Tutors: Dave Massam, Steve Hough and Barry Phelan
Content: You will learn about the Introduction to freestyle gymnastics philosophy, class organisation, class structures and safety and welfare whilst gaining vital knowledge on moves such as the Monkey/Kong vault and the Butterfly Kick. This module consists of both theory and practical sessions. There is no requirement to provide gymnasts and on course assessment of candidates is made throughout the day.
Pre-requisites: The level 2 course which will take place across the weekend covers both theory and practical, and can be attended by any level 2 coach (except for Pre School coaches). Please be aware that this module is now a prerequisite to attending the Level 3 Freestyle module when it is reintroduced later this year.

OPTION 2: Choreography
Tutors: Wendy Lucas and Allison Thain
Content: This module is geared towards those coaches and clubs interested in developing festival gymnastics and takes into consideration qualifications, themes, music, floor patterns & movement, costume, creative choreography, rules and performance opportunities.  It is also ideal for those who would like new ideas and inspiration.
Pre-requisites: The Choreography module can be attended by any coach who holds a minimum of the award scheme coach qualification.

OPTION 3: Games and Fitness
Tutors: Fred Pivotti and Louise Carter
Content: Engaging participants in fun, motivating and challenging games and fitness tasks is core to any gymnastics session.  This practical module will touch on the various uses of games and the many different types of games available whilst also looking into the principles of fitness and developing fitness components through fun and engaging programmes.  By the end of the module candidates will: understand the various uses of games, understand the principles of fitness and build a library of games from the ideas/suggestions of other candidates on the course that they then will be able to apply the key principles to their own club.
Pre-requisites: Games and Fitness GFA module can be attended by any level 1 coach or above.

When you book onto the Conference weekend you can opt to take part in either;
              One add on module and one workshop across the whole weekend
