Capitalising on the investment British Gymnastics has placed in its online communication channels, London Gymnastics, as part of an initial pilot project, is one of the first regions to partner with British Gymnastics to bring its members a brand new website. The new site shares functionality built by British Gymnastics and extends this to regional application. Later this year it is expected that further regions will have the opportunity to take advantage of this pilot project.
The new London Gymnastics website is available from the ‘Regions’ menu on the BG website or by visiting the new London Gymnastics web address: www.london-gymnastics.co.uk.
Connecting gymnastics to you
To mark the website launch, London Gymnastics developed a slogan that best summed up their new website, - ‘connecting gymnastics to you’. The reason they have invested so much time into the new site is to ensure its members can get everything they need in one place – with the work done on the various gymnastics technical committee’s and management groups able to reach out to members like never before.
The new London Gymnastics website aims to connect all the groups that London Gymnastics serves – FANS | COACHES | PARENTS | COMMITTEES | GYMNASTS | CLUBS
Best of both worlds
The new site has a unique selling point, in that it shares the structure of the British Gymnastics website, with local information from the London region, all with a single site. Key features of the new site include:
· Intuitive search functionality (find a club, course, event)
· Latest news
· About Us
· Regional events
· Club Support
· Job Board
· For sale
· Document Download
· Technical Committees
London Gymnastics Vice Chairman, Ben Murphy discusses his choice functionality pick from the new web site.
"The Find an Event functionality is for me one of the most powerful and useful features of our new site. We have uploaded every London Gymnastics competition, conference, awards dinner, and AGM across all disciplines allowing site visitors to find all the related event information – contact details, maps, opening & closing dates as well as download entry forms, draw information, rules and results. It will revolutionise the way we communicate our events to our clubs and the way they can now quickly and more efficiently find event information.
The website project has been a hard slog, but it is just another great example of how London Gymnastics continues to work in partnership with British Gymnastics with the aim to better serve our members".
London Gymnastics will officially unveil its new website at the London Club Conference on Sunday 10th February.
