Frequently Asked Questions

I am an Assistant Coach and am looking to do my Level 2 qualification. Do I need to wait until the new Membership year?
No – you can change your membership from Level 1 Assistant Coach to Level 2 + Coach at any time during the membership year.
I am a Level 1 Assistant Coach and I am going to do my Level 2 qualification. Do I need to upgrade to Level 2 + Coach membership before the course?
No – however by becoming a Level 2 + Coach member you will receive a discount on the cost of the course that is more than the Level 2 + Coach membership fee, so it is well worth doing, and means that you can get going as soon as you have achieved the qualification.
If I decide not to continue with coaching part way through the year can I have a refund?
Unfortunately our memberships are for a full 12 months and we do not operate a refund policy.
I have been out of the sport for some time, am I considered to be a new member?
Members who have been out of the sport for a full membership year are considered to be a new member. If you have been out of the sport for less than a full membership year, your membership will be treated as continuous and the full annual fee will be payable.
I regularly coach at two different gymnastics clubs. Do I need to be a BG member at both clubs?
Provided both clubs are British Gymnastics affiliated clubs you only need one BG membership to coach as many classes as you want.
