Contract for Service - Rhythmic Tutors and Assessors at Levels 1 and 2


British Gymnastics is looking to recruit, train and deploy Rhythmic tutors and assessors. This is an opportunity to impact the development of coaches at Levels 1 and 2 as a member of the British Gymnastics educator workforce. Those successful will be paid at the rates below on a Contract for Service basis:

Tutors Assessors
£270 per day

Level 1 (including logbook) £40 per learner

Level 2 (including logbook) £75 per learner

 Ideal candidates will:

  • be enthusiastic, inspiring and able to motivate others
  • demonstrate good planning and organisation skills
  • have a keen interest and wide experience in coaching
  • demonstrate effective communication, feedback and interpersonal skills
  • be patient and supportive of learners
  • be assertive and take initiative
  • have a professional manner
  • have intermediate IT skills

Qualifications
Tutors & Assessors must hold:

  • A Level 3 or above Rhythmic Gymnastics coaching qualification
    or
  • A UKCC Level 2 Rhythmic Gymnastics coaching qualification (min 4 years)

Tutors specific requirements:

  • Must hold, be working towards or willing to complete one of the following delivery qualifications:
    o Level 3 Award in Delivering Learning (QCF)
    o Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    o Equivalent teaching or delivery qualification

Assessor specific requirements:

  • Must hold, be working towards or willing to complete one of the following qualifications:
    o Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (AAVRA)
    o Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    o Equivalent assessor qualification

Scope of Service
Prepare and deliver / assess British Gymnastics Education programmes to the agreed standard, using the guidance and resources provided. Promote a positive professional image of British Gymnastics.

Tutor Services

Plan programmes of learning:

  • using the British Gymnastics learning programme and resources
  • adapting the programme to meet the needs of the learners
  • scheduling time for learner guidance and support
  • Deliver the programme of learning to an appropriate standard:
  • ensure all aspects of the British Gymnastics learning programme are covered
  • use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning needs, abilities and experience
  • Arrange specific learner guidance and support, ensuring access to appropriate support materials and resources
  • monitor learners progress throughout the programme, providing feedback to support learner development
  • actively involve learners in the learning process

Assessor Services:

Carry out assessments in accordance with British Gymnastics assessment specifications:

  • correctly complete all assessment documentation
  • treat all learners equally and fairly
  • provide objective feedback about performance and achievement
  • draw up assessment action plans with learners, as appropriate
