Gen and I want to part company from the club, by sale, lease, management or a.n. other. It has been a long and lovely time, but for us it has to end sometime. Since 1997 we have used the members' payments to pay the coaches, cover the hire costs of halls, contribute to some competition costs, and to give ourselves a living.
We cannot afford to stop this directly.
The acquisition of trampolines has been achieved through two grants from Sport Milton Keynes, plus a supplement from our account, a draw down from Russ' pension, and a loan to gain the Ultimate. We own 6 trampolines at Bletchley, one at Stantonbury, and a large end deck and mat at Oakgrove. Maintenance and repair has been funded by various club activities, our two regional competitions held at Bletchley, and collections and small schemes run by members. We currently employ 9 coaches, paying them expenses. Our pending service will cost over £500.0pSince 2003 I have supplemented club income with Tutoring payments for running coaching courses. These have always been very opportune.
If anyone took on the club as their main occupation, as we did, then they too would need to take a living from the income. It is much more likely that someone already in employment will run it as an extra source of income and an interest or passion.
