Equality Award Nominations 2019
Nominations are now open for the 2020 British Gymnastics National Awards. The awards evening will recognise and celebrate the achievements of the most inspirational people within our gymnastics community.

The closing date for all nominations is 2nd September 2019 so this week we will be celebrating all categories. 

Today’s award category is National Award for Equality & Inclusion. 

Two awards will be awarded; one to recognise an individual and one to recognise a club or organisation. The nominee will have demonstrated their ability, commitment and enthusiasm to reducing inequalities and widening access for their community, through an inclusive gymnastics environment for all who want to be involved. To be eligible, clubs or individuals must be members of British Gymnastics. 

Award Criteria:
The nominee has made a significant contribution to equality and inclusion through the delivery of a quality inclusive gymnastics programme
The nominee has made links to wider community and external organisations in order to make their project as inclusive as possible
The nominee has made a long-term commitment to making gymnastics more accessible to under-represented groups*

*Inclusion work may positively support individuals or groups of any of the following 9 protected characteristics: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership (in employment only), pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation.

This is your opportunity to nominate that special person or club that you feel deserves an award that will be handed out on the 25th January 2020 at the prestigious awards event.
