ECGA ensure that all ethical standards are upheld within gymnastics and ensure the sport is safe and accessible for all. Welfare officers are someone that you can feel safe to talk to and ensure confidentiality is maintained. Any information that you share with a welfare officer is only shared on a genuine ‘need to know’ basis.

As you may or may not be aware UK Safer Internet Centre run an annual initiative to raise awareness of using social media safely. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to promote across our clubs and educate safe use by all. The initiative has a great deal of resources for schools, parents and other organisations.
British Gymnastics would like to support the initiative, to promote awareness around the subject to increase knowledge and skills in using social media in an appropriate manner. Our professional use and educating everyone in the use of social media is vital to ensure we are effectively safeguarding our children.
