Max Whitlock among Queen's baton bearers as Relay returns to London

Olympic and Commonwealth Games gymnast, Max Whitlock MBE, was amongst those who carried the Queen's Baton in the latest stage of its journey to next year's Commonwealth Games, taking place on the Gold Coast, Australia.
Yesterday, at The Guildhall in London, Max was the athlete given the honour of bringing the Baton into the Guildhall and was joined at the event by Mimi-Isabella Cesar (Rhythmic) as well as England athletes from other Commonwealth Games sports.
The Baton (pictured here
) is made of Macadamia Wood and Steel and it holds a secret message to the athletes from The Queen. The Baton is currently travelling the World and will eventually end up at the Opening Ceremony of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in 2018.
