Would you like to be part of festivals including GymFusion but don’t know where to start?
Would you like more help and guidance to help develop your existing display routines?
British Gymnastics would like to further support clubs and coaches to enter festivals both on a local, regional and national level. We would like to invite coaches to a workshop which will be focussed on an introduction to festivals. The workshop is suitable for coaches who have no prior experience of putting a festival routine together and those with experience who are looking for additional ideas and inspiration.
The workshop content will start from the beginning, looking at how to put a festival routine together including basic choreography, movement and formations. It will then move onto how to theme a routine, how to include costume, hair and makeup and finally how to include visual effects.
Our tutor is Allison Thain, who has vast experience of display routines both as a gymnast, coach and tutor. With over 11 year experience with Tees Valley Gymnastics Club producing 2 award winning display routines which have been shown across Britain and Europe, Allison is full to the brim with ideas on how to help you get started with your own festival project.
This workshop is free of charge for British Gymnastics Members. Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. The workshop is open to all coaches from award scheme level upwards.
