article-0-02511FEE00000578-237_634x452As the 30th Olympic Games are fast approaching, gymnasts all over the country are practicing hard to ensure their place in the GB team.

The 2012 Summer Olympics, held in London, will promise to deliver non-stop action from beginning to end, with the hope of medal achievement for the host country. Following on from the success of the qualifications in January, all 3 of the gymnastic events - artistic, rhythmic and trampoline - are expected to be sold out before the

Games even begin on July 27th, where they will run for 17 days.

British Gymnastics will be sending full men's and women's artistic gymnastics teams along with a rhythmic individual, trampoline individual and rhythmic group gymnasts.

PicsTeamGymEurosThe 2012 TeamGym European Championships takes place October 17-21th at the NRGi Arena, Aarhus (DEN)

The event involves both junior and senior teams and each country can make a maximum of 6 teams. The organising committee is expecting minimum 700 participants from 13 different countries.

Great Britain will be represented by up to five teams who qualified following the British Championships held in Gloucester in May

EuroGym 2012

EuroGym_posterThe eighth Eurogym is set to take place from 15th to the 19th of July 2012 in Coimbra, Portugal. The theme of this years EuroGym is 'Let's Share', promoting the coming together of many European nations to enjoy and celebrate gymnastics.

This event is organised by the UEG and is aimed at gymnastics participants over 12 years of age.  The teams perform in groups, at different public places and have the opportunity to take part in the mass Great Britain Gala display.

The program includes, amongst many others, an opening and closing ceremony, national galas, forums, many gymnastics presentations and performances, workshops and lots and lots of fun.

British Gymnastics is pleased to announce a delegation of 75 attending the event representing the four clubs of:

newwglaThe Glasgow World Cup is one of 10 artistic World Cup events in 2012 set up by the World governing body the FIG, at which the world's top gymnasts participate by invite only.


The 2012 Glasgow World Cup will take place on the 8th December and will be moved to the brand new Commonwealth Arena. The event is a great chance to see the very best of the best in artistic gymnastics.
