British Gymnastics is the national governing body for the sport of gymnastics in the United Kingdom. This status is recognised by Sport England, UK Sport, the British Olympic Association (BOA), European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) and the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).

Based at the Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Newport, Shropshire, British Gymnastics’ mission is to meet and exceed stakeholder expectations by enabling members, staff and volunteers to build the quality of provision across the UK and ensure that every individual with an interest in or talent for gymnastics can realise their potential.

British Gymnastics encompasses many activities including:-

The responsibilities of British Gymnastics include the provision of participation opportunities across the age spectrum, the development of world-class gymnasts, coaches and clubs, an event and competition calendar to suit all ages and abilities, best practice education and training for coaches, teachers and officials and support for clubs, schools and leisure centres to provide safe, fun and quality gymnastics provision.

More than 350,000 gymnasts, coaches, judges and volunteers are members of British Gymnastics.
