London Gymnastics Ltd is a company limited by guarantee. Our members are gymnastics clubs who affiliate to the Region. We provide a number of benefits to affiliated clubs including the opportunity for members of the clubs to participate in our activities, which include competitions, squads, clinics, conferences and other learning and development activities.
London Gymnastics is managed by an Executive Council which works to implement the strategic aims of the Region. We work in partnership with British Gymnastics and their officers to ensure we actively promote the sport of Gymnastics in London.
The Executive Council consists of two Committees, the Management committee (MC) and a Joint Technical committee (JTC).
The purpose of the MC is to appoint directors whose joint competencies will oversee the regions finances and both set and monitor the progress of the regional strategy and its objectives.
Joint Technical Committee
The JTC is as it says, a Technical Committee made up of the Chairs of each of the disciplines. Their purpose is to look at the technical aspects of our sport and to collaborate and come up with consistent cross discipline strategies.
At the heart of our regional structure is the dedicated voluntary work of our Discipline specific Technical Committees (TCs). These TC’s will be run by an elected Chair who will ordinarily appoint amongst others, a Secretary, Treasurer and Competition Organiser.
The Technical Committee is responsible for writing the competition programme and delivering it to the member clubs for that discipline.
