Over recent years we have seen a decline in the attendance at the Annual General Meeting, which is a shame given that it is a chance for clubs to have their say on the running of the Region.
pdf Technical Assemblies Dates and Times (163 KB) - April 2015
This year we are changing the format, and placing greater emphasis on the Technical Assemblies, where we would expect our TC’s to carry out a review of the previous year and to engage members of their community in planning for the future.
Where appropriate, these Technical Assemblies are used to elect our TC Chairs for their three year term. This year we need to elect/re-elect Chairs in the following disciplines:
• Acrobatic and Tumbling
• Disability Gymnastics
• Men’s Artistic Gymnastics
• Women’s Artistic Gymnastics
Constitutionally, our TC Assemblies should take place within eight weeks of the Annual General Meeting (held on Saturday 6 June at Redbridge Leisure Centre).
A list of the Technical Assembly dates, locations and those TC’s where a Chairman needs to be elected will follow in the next couple of weeks.
The Annual General Meeting, will still offer the opportunity for clubs to attend, to have a voice, but it will be an Annual General Meeting only, submitting reports and accounts, ratifying constitutional changes and the election of Regional Officers.
I will look forward to report back in person on the progress being made in the Region, but also will offer a written overview within our Annual Reports and Papers, which this year will only be available to download electronically and not be sent in paper form.
The opportunities of bespoke presentations about British Gymnastics and London Gymnastics Schemes will be delivered across other events throughout the year.
Chairman, London Gymnastics
