North of England Schools Gymnastics Association
The North of England Schools Gymnastics Association (NESGA) is responsible for co-ordinating gymnastic activities and competitions for schools in the North Region. The organisation is affiliated to the British Schools Gymnastics Association (BSGA).

Children have the opportunity to take part in competitions at County and Regional level and to qualify for National Finals. There are events in all the gymnastic disciplines including Floor and Vault, Sports Acrobatics, Tumbling and Trampoline.

Coaching and Judging Awards
Gymnastics requires agility, strength and physical fitness. It should always be practised under proper supervision. There are several different Coaching Awards for teachers. Details can be obtained from British Gymnastics and from the Regional Gymnastics Office There are also awards for Judging and you can begin as a Judge at 14 years of age with a Floor and Vault Award. This is an ideal introduction to judging for schools.
Schools can affiliate with the North of England Schools Gymmastics Association and British Schools Gymnastics Association to keep up to date with news and events and to take part in competitons. Affiliation is due on September 1st each year,
The fee for Secondary Schools is £18, for Primary Schools £12 and for individual gymnasts £6.00.
A completed Affiliation Form with a Cheques made payable to NESGA may be sent to the Treasurer or alternatively affiliation can be arranged online at www.bsga.org.
Schools and individual gymnasts wishing to enter competitions should make sure that the affiliation has been completed at least 28 days prior to the event. Affiliation numbers are required on all entry forms.
