GENERAL GYMNASTICS
APPARATUS COMPETITION This is a four piece competition at three levels and gymnasts will work on Floor, Vault, Single Bar and Bench (or Conditioning for Boys)
PARTNER CHALLENGE
This is a pairs competition, open to all Gymnasts who do not Compete at an elite level in regional competition or above in Men's, Women's, Sports Acrobatics or Tumbling competitions judged on full FIG/IFSA Rules. Pairs may be Girls, Boys or 'Mixed'. The competition is based on a synchronised floor exercise and a vault.
GROUP CHALLENGE
This is a 'fours' competition, open to all Gymnasts who do not compete at an elite level in regional competition or above in Men's, Women's, Sports Acrobatics or Tumbling competitions judged on full FIG/IFSA Rules. The competition is based on a synchronised floor routine and vault. Groups may be Girls, Boys or 'Mixed'.
Other sections:
Adult Gymnastics groups cater for gymnasts who still want to enjoy training and competing regardless of their age and also for people starting their gymnastics careers later in life. There are opportunities to compete regionally and nationally and gymnastics is an excellent way to combine a social life and keep fit!
Gymnasts with a disability are welcome to take part in General Gymnastics events. They can also compete in Men's and Women's Artistic events, Sports Acrobatics, Trampoline, TeamGym and Rhythmic Gymnastics. There are many competitive opportunities within the disability programme and North Region gymnasts compete nationally and internationally.
