What a fantastic competition gymnasts had at the 2019 trampoline, tumbling and DMT World Championships in Tokyo.
From the North we had Shanice Davidson (Durham City Gymnastics Club).
Great Britain’s tumbling gymnasts produced a masterclass to take both the women’s team world title on the first day of finals at the 2019 Trampoline, Tumbling and DMT World Championships in Tokyo.
Having dominated in qualifying our women’s tumbling team controlled the final. Reigning world silver medallist Shanice got the team off to a flying start with her routine scoring 34.400 and immediately putting the British flag on the top of the standings.
Shanice was top ranked in qualifying and showed her skills again in the final. Her two routines both scored 34.8 points to give her 69.600 and leave her just .300 of the top spot.
